Fine artist turned fine jeweller.
“As a graduate of Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design, the moments of joy I felt while cultivating creativity in different mediums convinced me beauty shouldn’t be confined to galleries or shut up in safes, and made me realise it’s these small moments of joy that make life more special.
After my degree, I craved a more practical, intimate realisation of my creativity. I experimented with sculptural jewellery design, using inherited tools to make things I couldn't afford to buy and couldn't find anywhere else. As I refined my craft, my growing interest in the history of fine jewellery began to inform my aesthetic – and my longstanding curiosity with the idea of 'retrofuturism' began.
Looking back, it’s clear my study of audio installations has also inspired the fluidity, repetition, and looping shapes and forms of my work. Today, I continue to take an informal and playful approach to modern fine jewellery-making, seeking to grasp, ground, and gift a little of that fine art alchemy to my real-world clients.”
